Hopefull this will not turn into a bash ATI thread. One of my PC's has an Asus A7V133 mobo with a VIA KT133A Chipset. My problem is no matter what ATI videocard I put in it (with the exception of a 7000) it bluescreens. Why?. I have ATI cards in other PC's at home, and every PC I build at work uses ATI, so what is it about this particular combo thats causing all these problems. I am currently running a GF3TI-500 in it, but fancied a 9000 pro, and it just keeps locking down, had the same issues with a 7500 & 8500Le. Any ideas?. I am using recent 4 in 1 drivers and a relatively new bios, they are both new enough to have worked out any issues with a 7500 ATI card at least.

I also have a problem with the Sapphire Radeon 9100 I just bought. When I load the drivers for Windows 98, my system hangs after re-start. And the images are somewhat scattered all over the desktop. I can't do even a CTRL-ALT-DEL. I really need to press the re-start button. Gosh... I can't seem to find a solution from the FAQs at ATI's site or even Sapphire's.

I'm runnin' Athlon XP 2400+ on an Epox 8K9AI with VIA KT400 chipsets. Since the machine I'm workin' on is dual-boot with WinXP Pro, I was able to install the WinXP drivers. Though it won't freeze like in Win98, but still images somewhat get pasted when I move from one window to another.

This is really givin' me a headache. I have adjusted the AGP Aperture Size back to 64M from 128M, and still the problem persists. I've got DirectX 9 in this system. It came provided with the Radeon's driver CD.

Any help please?

Download the latest drivers, and if you are running XP unplug the network cable to prevent it from going to the internet for the drivers.

Thanks, Morris. I'll do that.

Now, here is what I did. I removed the Radeon 9100 and put in place my older Radeon 7200 and installed it's own drivers [of course, I uninstalled the drivers for the 9100 before loaded the ones for the 7200]. Now, still here is the problem... whenever I drag a window [i.e. volume control], I get the same "blotted" image problems, kinda like it's pasted as what I have posted above.
