Hey guys,
I am looking for a good video capture card for under $200. What is the best one in that price range?

Thanks
Jason

Ok I think I am leaning towards an ATI all in wonder card. The thing is now...should I get the 9000 pro or the 8500 DV. The 9000 pro is only like a doller more at mwave. But the thing I am wondering is if the 8500 DV has some better features. Thanks in advance for all the help guys. ;)

for a lot less, you might find an AIW 7500 Radeon. Lots of inputs, remote, and Ulead 6.0 tossed in too. I'm not a gamer, and don't care about poly-shading-mega-triangulation-blocking whozits, but for capturing video for DVD's..it's a winner and cheaper! I spent 130 at a local shop several months ago..so i'm sure it's cheaper now.

Go with the AIW 9000.

Seems to me that the 8500 is a faster card than the 9000, keep this in mind if you are also going to be playing games.

If all you want is a capture card, you can get a Leadtek for about $30.

Do the leadtek give out good quality video? My original video card works fine for me but, I am getting into wideo editing and I can't use my dad's all the time. What I was originally going to do is sell my radeon for about $50 in one of the systems I build and use that towards an all in wonder.

Ask Kubie - he's using one.

The 9000 Pro beats the 8500 in UT2K3, higher fps.
