I hooked up two monitors to my computer with two video cards and started it up. The initial startup came through the old card and the new one was not giving off a signal. Then the logon screen came up off only the new card, but the other monitor still had a green light so I assume the other card was giving off a signal. The problem started when I typed in my password and tried to log on. It started to go into windows but then stopped. I mean everything the noise was still stuck on one sound and nothing could be moved. How can I set up the two monitors and start my computer?

I think it would be better if you find a card that supports dual monitors.

Getting a vidcard with dual monitor support is a lot better. Ive also tried putting 2 vidcards in pc's (was with old agp and pci cards .) and it hardly ever seems to work like that. I now have a gf4ti with a regular, dvi and tv output. there was a little adapter for the dvi output to put a crt monitor on it, it works perfectly like that. with that nvidia nview thingie, i can set up my monitors in whatever way i want it.

Here (http://www.verdictsystems.com/library/techtips/dualmonitors.htm) is a 2 monitor how-to.

Did you install the drivers for the PCI card first? What kind of PCI card is it?
