Ok my dad is a contractor doing a job for a company. They want to hook up a TV (~27") in their lunchroom, and connect it to a computer to display news, info, text & pictures, etc. He is suggesting using this product (http://www.focusinfo.com/products/tview_goldpci/tview_goldpci.htm) in the computer to connect to the TV. My question is how useful is this card and would it be significantly better than using the composite output on a video card?

Should he consider an HDTV with db-15 input? How high quality the display be? It the cost worth it?

Also, how does the number of 'lines' on a TV screen relate to monitor resolution?

thanks

TV is 720x480 @ 60hz.

Comparing to a composite output from a vid card that card you list above might be superior, although I've never used it.

S-Video from a vid card would be about as good as you're going to get in all likelihood.

Yes I would just use the s-video from the video card also.
