Upgrading from 95 to 98 with OEM disc

How can I do it?

I know the easiest way is to reformat the drive but that is not an option since this guy has programs on the drive that cannot be reinstalled.

I seem to recall there is a way by creating another Windows folder but I don't remember the process since I have never attempted it.

Can anyone help me here, plz?
