This was weird. Decided to upgrade my bios. Installed Asus update software from asus disk. Followed all steps and worked great. When finished, I checked current bios and version 1005 was listed (ver 1002 was previously listed). Pushed keyboard hot key to connect to pc mech, and no connection. Clicked on IE icon, no connection. Went to Control Panel/Network Connections, LAN was missing (mobo has onboard LAN). Set up network connection for home network just like previously. Went back to Network connections, still no LAN. Went to Asus update and looked again at current bios and LAN was missing. Installed Asus disk, clicked on LAN drivers, installation screen came up telling me how to get to get to Control Panel/System. I went to Network Connections by mistake and LAN was now there!! Never did install driver. Closed Asus disk, clicked hot key and here I am. Weird, huh?
