I have 2 problems.
1.Video.
I want to play movie files on my PC and record them on an external source, which in this case a DVD recorder.
I can get Video output, but I cant get the sound to output.
But when I record from this source, the picture has a black border around it,so the actual viewing area is smaller than it should be.
I have been to Display Properties/Settings//Advanced/
Displays and turned on the TV function.(the middle one) once thats done, whenever you open the ATI TV player window, you see the window with acopy of whats happening on your desktop..I want to play a video file so it outputs to the DVD recorder.I cant use the ATI file player while the TV function is on,so i use the Windows meadia player to play them. This gets the video picture to my recorder, with a stupid fat black border around it.And no sound, which leads me to the next question.....l
2.Audio
I have the All in Wonder 9000 in my PC,and I have these A/V outputs from it:
S-video out:
RCA video out:
3.5mm Jack Line out,
and RCA Digital Audio out
The 3.5mm Line out loops back into the Soundcard for sound through the speakers
I assume that the digital output is to feed to an digital amplifier, which I dont have.
Is there any other way of getting sound from the Digital RCA cable other than buying a Digital Amp to fed it to? I could then use it without having to unplug the 3.5 jack all the time.
The DVD recorder does not have a digital sound input, only line audio inputs.
Should I use that jack plug with an adaptor to split it into RCA audio cable?
I think The Soundblaster card has a line output socket, but I'm not sure which one it is,they just have a bunch of little icons next to each hole. They are colour coded, and looking from left to right they are : ,black, green, pink, blue and orange
Green is for Speakers, and the 3.5 jack audio from the ATI card goes into the blue one.Orange has the word Digital next to it.So that leaves black and pink.
Any ideas on this would be appreciated.
Thanks
Andrew
