When you install a 8x AGP video card do you have to change some settings in BIOS so the card can work fine?

I installed the video card and the pc booted up fine. I shut down the pc and unplug the power cord and then I hook it back up and power up and the monitor doesn't turn on and it gives 1 beep then 2 beeps. This is what the manual says:

1. clear CMOS battery. (JP5 connector, see Quick start guide/ user manual for more info on how to clear the CMOS)
2. check the memory module and the VGA card if it is inserted properly on the M/B
3. if step #2 is done, change the memory module, it might be defective. Make sure the memory specification is supported by the M/B. (for more info on this, check our FAQ website)
4. change the VGA card

I switched it with a Radeon 7000 PCI card and it worked (I unpluged the power/hooked it back and it worked.

It's possible that you may have knocked the card loose when you were putting it all back together. Did you try reseating the card after it wouldn't boot or did you just go straight to the PCI one?

Alright just a shot...can you get into the BIOS to see if there are any options dealing with AGP 4x vs. 8x?
