Is DCC the same thing as using a crossover cable? I've been trying to install the Direct Cable Connection between the 2 computers, and all it gives me is LPT1, COM1 and COM2 as a choice for ports. Both computers have onboard LANs that I wish to utilize. What am I doing wrong? If I do have to install DCC, how can I make it look at the onbaord LANs, and do they have a port assigned to them?

A cross over cable lets two lan cards (nics) talk to each other without needing a hub or switch. Crosses over one pair of wire so both computers arn't sending and recieveing on the same sets.

DCC lets you use your serial or parallel ports to connect two computers with the proper cable , it's slow but will work
