and internet explorer 5
when i try to open the web page or My Computer etc
i get This error plz help me

this pogram has preformed illegal operation annd will be shut down.
if the problem presists, conact the prograam vendor.

Did you install anything new just prior to this happening?

How old is that Win98 installation? Has it been on your system without a reformat and reinstall for a long time?

Have you tried scanning for viruses, spyware and trojans yet?

Have you cleaned out all the Windows Temp and Temporary Internet Files folders yet?

Do you have a lot a background applications running on your system?
