a movie will be fillmed on a street right next to me and my street is off that stree so basically i will see alot of the movie. Qustion is can i legally film the movie as they are filming it from my own property as they would be on public street or would i be breaking copyright laws?
p.s this is in los angeles(canoga park(west valley)

You happen to know what movie it is?

no idea, i am not afraid of layers know plenty of beverly hills lawyers if really needed. Don't feel like bothering them with this kind of question

you for sure can film it if you won't be making money on it. if you are, then i'm not sure...

you can film anything you want if you are standing on public property, or your own property. even if you are looking into private property.
not sure on selling it though. i just know the above to be true because i work in news and that's the law we go by. and I guess we make money off it is a strange way, but I'm not sure howthe money thing works if it's not news.

Unless its like phonebooth, you won't get much of the movie. It would be cool to have some video if it being made, though.

You would have to sign a release form. Just ask the producer to provide one, most will oblige, I know I allowed it when filming our movie.
