Here I go again with another new thread with an ols topic. They must be updating this server during the morning hours becuz I've been sitting here refreshing this page all morning long and cannot get the reply link.

Anyway, I was wondering if I could just go ahead and let Win NT 4.0 install my other logical drives e: f: g: and so on. I had originally let NT create it's own partition [d:\] as someone suggested earlier and I thought I absolutely had to download the service pack before letting NT create the other partitions but it doesn't sound like I absolutely have to do this. The SPs sound like only an update that can be done at a later time if I choose.

I have some work to finish and need the rest of my partitions up and running asap. Can I install the latest service packs at a later date?

Can someone confirm this?

Thanks
Dave

Install SP6a right away. There are many reasons for this. Baseline NT doesn't support AGP or hard drives larger than 8 gigs, among other issues. You will find a LOT of software that will not install on NT unless it has service packs.
