Hi,

I have a computer with 2 drives,

drive 1 partitioned c: and e: (partitioned equally with xp on c: and nothing on e:)

drive 2 partitioned d:

I want to remove the partition from drive 1 making it just c: without loosing any info.
Is this possible within xp or will i have to use a programme for it,i do have partition magic 4 but dont know if that will do for windows xp.

thanks for any help.

Merging partitions can't be done with Windows XP's built-in programs, you need a third party tool like Partition magic.
Can't tell you if PM 4 supports NTFS, but well, just install and try. If PM 4 doesn't do it you'll need a newer version.

No, PM4 won't work with XP, it's too old. The first version that supported XP was 7.
