I've gotten 2 spam messages with attachments infected with this virus in the past two weeks. Norton AV has caught it both times and deleted the attachments before they could get to Outlook.

Are there any more steps that I can take besides a full system scan to make sure my system is clean?

If Norton caught it and you did not click on it then you can assume your system is not infected.
As added protection, if you have not already done it, enable the show file extensions in your folder options. This will mean that the attachments instead of showing up as My Party.jpeg will show up as My Party.jpeg.vbs
Of course all attachements should be scanned with the anti -virus program before opening, and most attachemnts should just be thrown away without even looking at them.
Remember it's probably not important if there are more than three people in the to line.
And if these attachments are of the joke/picture/whitty item from someones buddly list on AOL, the best thing to do is to peel back the layers and send the damn person an e-mail telling them that they are now sending out virus laden e-mails and to run their anti-virus and TAKE YOUR NAME OFF THEIR BUDDY LIST UNTIL THEY HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO E-MAIL YOU AND THEY LEARN HOW TO PROTECT THEIR COMPUTER!

Thanks Morris. I just chalked this problem up to SPAM but I guess it could be someone that I know playing a part too. If it is just SPAM, it's even worse because who knows how many people are getting these virus laden e-mails. Next time it happens I'll be sure to check the routing on the message and see exactly where it came from.

Wont matter if you find out who it came from...You can set up a dummy email address as easy as you can make a .txt file...All you can really do, is know who sends you email, and who doesnt, keep ana ctive up to date AV running at all times...and keep a normal level of paranoia about everything.;)
