im not neccisarily looking for a free program. one that works good. i lost some files that i wish i didnt and now im kicking myself. i have a demo version of one but it cant recover a large file. any suggestions?

Search all the boards for "recovery" or file recovery.

Hopefully you haven't written anything else to the drive!

I've had some success with FileRetreval and DirectorySnoop under a FAT32 file system.

The longer you go on using the drive with the deleted data, the worse the chances of recovery. note: web browsing does write data yo your drive.
