Nero the badass..

Hi there.

I have Nero5.5 CD-DVD burning application. Problem wid this is that it wont detect/accept my Nec 1100 DVDburner nor my samsung DVD-Rom.

Anyideas out there folks?

Havent made a cd for ages.. pls help out:)

How did you get Nero ? Was it bundled with a CD-Burner or did you acquire it as a standalone product (not bundled) ?

Bundled Nero (at least for quite some time now) will only accept the burner that it was bundled with. But you can upgrade to the full version of Nero, just check out www.nero.com

if your Nec 1100 DVDburner or your samsung DVD-Rom are newer than your version of Nero, you may have to download a patch for Nero.
try here: http://nero.com/en/index.html#root
when I first installed my Plextor 24x writer, it wasn't recognised by EasyCd Creator...I had to download a patch,, then it worked fine.

Get the latest version of Nero's CDROM.cfg, and also download the CD-ROM autodetect software form their site.
If you do not mid waiting for a few days, Nero 6 will be available on July 18. I have got my hands on a pre-release trial copy, and it is faster and has a lot more features than the latest 5.5.10.42. Costs a bit, but worth the wait.
