bullet proof ftp

I have my own webpage, and I use bulletproof ftp to upload my files, I have windows xp, I when ever I try to upload a files, using it. I get a message connection, waiting for response,

can someone help?

Are you using passive mode connects? Have you tried switching to port? Never used bulletproof ftp, but check the settings to see what is the default mode for connections.

Options - General Options - Firewall - FTP, check "use passive mode" or disable any firewall you may be using - including XP's ICF. You have to use passive mode if you are behind a router.
