good firewalls

So which free firewall should I have. Right now I am using sygate personal firewall 5.0. Not sure if I should change back to ZA. Anything change since then? I like something like lavasoft ad-ware where there are frequent updates. sygate does not have an update-more like an upgrade which is not free.

I don't use it but I understand Sygate is a good program.

Sygate Personal Firewall is a good software firewall and it works fine. The reason they don't have updates is because the current product works like it should.

Kerio Personal Firewall2 (http://www.kerio.com/kpf_home.html) is another good software firewall.

I won't go back to using Zone Alarm, too many problems.

Sygate last updated about 6 months ago. As Cricket stated, it works so they don't have to update it. Zone Alarm on the other hand is so popular that it has been the target of hackers trying to get around it, so they are having to update it to fill the holes (If Windows had as many users as Linux and Linux had as many users as Windows > Do you think that they would be issuing security patches like they do now for Windows > I think that they would)
