More Norton Internet Security Stuff

Ok, so I'm sick on NIS and download Sygate. Fine. I then proceed to remove NIS. Not fine because I remove Norton AntiVirus as well, which is a program that I like alot. So, I re-install NIS, but can't install it without the actual Internet Security program. Now the thing starts up when I boot, and, it pops up in my system tray. It serves no purpost because of the existence of Sygate. Is there a way to stop the NIS icon from appearing at bootup?

Start>Run> Type 'msconfig" and go to the Startup tab. Uncheck anything having to do with NIS. Or better yet get a copy of RegCleaner from www.jv16.org for free and it will show you everything in a better format, plus it is also a great tool.

I tried the msconfig>startup thing and it ended up causing the failure of my internet.

Right click on the NIS icon and click on options then under startup check manual. You can also uncheck the "show taskbar icon" but it will still run. You can also go on symantec.com and ask them on the support section, they usualy send a reply in less then 24h.
