It may seem a stupid question but do you need a system disk that corresponds to the operating system you plan to install? If so please could you tell me how create a Windows XP system disk? Thanks a lot. Kartman1807
If you are trying to do a fresh install of XP, all you need to do is boot from the CD. ;)

Sure you can make system disks for xp but it's much easier to just pop in the CD.

still may be a good idea to be able to do it if something goes nutty with your cd-rom drive... just a thought....

No, coz you need the CD anyway to install ;) If the drive broke you gotta replace it. . . simple as that ..
