I just replaced my Tt Volcano 9 heatsink with an Aerocool heatsink a few days ago. The Tt was very loud and I was having a lot of trouble keeping my CPU cool. I would play a game for a few minutes and *boom* the computer would shut down after gaming.

Well I tried to increase my fan speed, but that wasnt working so I wound up buying this new Aerocool heatsink with liquid cool. I have actually seen a difference, but I am not sure if the temps I have are ok. This new heatsink is great, if you dont like all the noise from the Tt fans, and they have kept my CPU much cooler.

Temps (Idle):

47 C - CPU
32 C - MB

Any help?

Assuming the CPU is the one in your signature, your temperatures are fine. If it still has stability issues, I'd look at other possibilities causing the problem as opposed to the CPU's temperature. Those should have no cause for concern.

47 is fine, but so is being in the 50s. One thing is how hot is it out there? If you are having hot days like I was last week, then 47 could be cold!! :)

What brand and wattage is your power supply?

I have a 350 or 300 watt power supply and it has been relatively nice here in St. Louis for the past few weeks. I guess I am just too worried. Thanks guys!
