Apache is probably the best free one out there.

XP Pro comes with no web server. Windows 2000/2003 server editions do but XP Pro has none.

2000 Server and XP Pro both include the popular web server, IIS (Internet Information Service). If you don't have it installed in your system, go to Add/Remove Components at Control Panel and stick in your CDRom to install it. It also comes with a service to make your computer an FTP server also.

A good HTTP server is not IIS. Yes, XP does come with a crippled version of IIS, that is limited to 10 concurrent users but I wouldn't recommend it.
