i,m using win xp home.
i,ve downloaded the security fixes from windows.
there was one for 32-bit
& 64-bit.
which edition do i need to install ?.

I can not get to the site due to the traffic, but I have XP home with my drives NTFS and I have the following updates already installed, hopefully this will help you

What about the patch for XP Pro?? Probably the same 'patch' but how does one know if he has 32 or 64 'bit'?? And why should it matter?? What is the difference??

The only people that have 64 bit are those who have 64 bit processors such as the Intel Itanium. XP Home and XP Pro use the same patch, and M$ says if you don't know whether you have 32 or 64 bit try the 32 bit first.
