This is my first PC build. I picked this (http://colorcases.com/cases/XRaidE.html) case. I want to install a CyrstalFontz LCD. I picked out my parts, there all compatible. But I have one question. I dont understand the installation of fans. And what/how many fans to get. Thanks for any help

Weclome to PcMech.com and congrats on making the first steps to building your own computer!
-You should have at least 1 fan which is positioned at the back of the case, just under the power supply, blowing out.
-You can also have a fan in the lower front of the case blowing cool are in.
-Some people put fans on the side, blowing air onto the Video card/PCI cards.
I'd suggest starting with 1 fan in the back and once you build it, if you need more, you can add them then.

How to install fans?
It's pretty easy...you have to make sure you get the correct size for your case. The normal is 80mm fans. Then you just plug the fan into a power cord from the power supply and the case will have some clips or places for screws to mount it....and that's it.
isnt colorcases a bad name around here? Or am I thinking of coolercases.com?

I think some people have had good service from Colorcases.com and some haven't.
Seems they have a pretty poor rating on ResellerRatings.com (http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2071.html). Compare their rating to the ratings CoolCases.com (http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1954.html) got.

There are clips or holes for screws somewhere in your case. I'm confident you can figure out how to mount them :)

Most fans only have 1 wire that connects to the power supply. Some will have a smaller plug that can connect to your Motherboard to monitor/adjust the fan's speeds.
