I'm going to be putting a window/fan in the top of my case and I'm not sure which way I should have the fan blowing.

Most say it should be blowing out of the case but I was thinking it me be better to bring in cool air and blow it on the power supply and processor, then out of the back.

What are you opinions/views on this? Thanks Thanks Thanks!

I would say blowing out, but you could try it both way and see which gives you better temperatures.

It should be sucking the hot air out. Hot air rises so this will be in the "natural" direction of the risiing air. If you have it blowing in, then you'll be forcing the hot air back into the case where it will just recirculate and not get exhausted.

The real question is why are you installing the fan in the first place. Are you over-clocking? Do you have three or four hard drives? Or are putting in the fan because you have bought into all the BS you read on this forum about AMD Temps? Most of these people are just repeating what they have heard and do not have on bit of understanding of what is HOT as it confuses them when they see Centigrade temps.
By the way if the answer to any of the first two question is yes, then you might need the fan and it cannot hurt.

:) Yes, I overclock my processor and video card, both which get very hot. I have two hard drives. Not sure what you mean about the AMD temps....I've got an Intel processor :).

The real reason I'm putting the fan in is because basically, I can :). I'm going to be putting a top window in the case, so why not decorate it with an LED fan and a fancy fan grill?

Install the fan at the top to blow outward.
