I just got the sapphire radeon 9200SE 128mb video card, I thought that since it was agpX8 that it would be better then my current sapphire radeon 9100 128mb video card. the 9200 shows up in display properties as agpX8 but the 9100 that area is greyed out, and it says off, I never paid much attention to it and had just thought that it was X4, whats the deal here? I ran 3dmark2001 on the new card and it scored over a 1000 points lower, I didnt have fast write enabled and other settings were set for quality, I will run the test again after changing settings for best score, but I still dont think that it will score as high as the 9100. Is the 9100 just clocked higher/faster???
Another thing, the 9200SE compleated the test way faster even though it scored lower. Anyway, could someone please shed some light for me.

Just a guess but maybe you had some kind off anti aliasing on when you ran the tests, they will make you score alot lower. Set the card to the same settings as the other one and try it.

The 9100 is only 2X/4X and 8X don't make too big of a difference in benchmarks. I'm not sure on the clock speeds.

I guess thats the deal, 8x doesnt make a big difference, not like I thought it would.
after looking at all kinds of specs I think I read that the 9100 did 2.4gigatexels/second and the 9200SE did 2.0gb/sec
however, since I'm not real big on benchmark's I went with the 9200SE as it just seems faster to me, and I can set the clock speed of either card to whatever I want, I was just seeing the difference when both were set to default. We'll see how it goes after I play a few games on it, if I dont like it I'll change it back.
