cant open word doc.

Anyone help. I have a document that wont open in word 2000. File is saved only on a floppy. Error message is document name or path not valid.
Tried rename, wordpad,notepad,acrobat etc.
Really desperate for this file has to be handed in for assessment tomorrow.

try copying the file to the hard drive and open it from that if that dont work then the file may be damaged if you made it on your computer try starting word then go to the file open box and see if its listed as a recent file if it is try and open it

Did you try using the "open and repair" dropdown in the open document dialog box?
