Cannon Multipass C555 problems...

A friend of mine just got this printer(multifunction) about a month ago. It printed fine for about 3 weeks, then out of nowhere, it says it cant find the printer? so i go over and reinstall the canopass software, which you have to do to install the drivers. It starts working after that. I get a call today saying that it wont print again. The error she is getting is about how it cannot start the Cannon multipass unit. I think that the monitor program for it is causing problems for it.

I cant find any known issues for it on their website, or updated drivers, so I am gonna go over and completely uninstall it and reinstall it. any other opinions would be greatly appreciated!
