I installed a different Mobo and now I dont get any folders in Control Panel and Windows panes, everthing just blank.
In explorer I,m able to view all folders.

Any ideas why this is?

Just curious, but did you remove your old mobo drivers and install the new ones?

Dont quite know what you mean.

Are you saying board wont work at all?

I'm having this problem because of incorrect drivers?

what I am saying is you need to have done the enum trick, but its too late for that now, you did not state what the O/S is so it kinda hard to give you the best advice on how to fix it, but as a open suggestion, I would try a install repaire, but because there may be spicific drivers needed for the motherboard that need ti be installed before any other software is installed.

so what I would suggest at this point would be to fo a format and reinstall everything the way the mother board manual tell you to do it.

a clean install is always the best way to do it.

hi no-nowt

this is a link with details of the enum trick http://forum.pcmech.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=9254

as bailey says the best thing to do is format and reinstall windows to fix your problam all so my addvice is to take the windows me cd place it on a table and use it to stop your coffie cup marking the furniture then get your self a copy of windows xp and install that but thats just my opinion. but if you must install windows me then a clean format and reinstall is the best way to go

Thanks for the link.
By the way the System running ME is a second computer used by the kids, I have XP running on mine.
I know its a no-no but have thought about installing my XP on it and if Mr Gates dont like it, well he can go and take a running jump.
