Need Photoshop 7 held NOW

I've been trying to do this for the whole day without success and I am actually about to explode. If someone doesn't help me soon I am going to be ripping arms and legs off of unsuspecting people. All I have been trying to do is make a GIF animation with just 2 FRAMES so I can put it onto my geocities.com website. THAT'S ALL!! I've made a button, and all I want it to do is light up when a mouse goes over it. I've made a picture of it when it is normal, and another picture of it when it is lit up. I've done the rollover stuff, and now I need to optimize it. Can someone fully explain how this is done? And how do I get it into ONE FILE so that it can be uploaded to my site? When I try saving the optimised file it saves the file in a folder, split up in 8 different segments. WWWWWTTTTTTTTFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone please help, otherwise I'll lose a computer screen soon.

Photoshop has this piece of compainion software to specifically deal with animated gifs. I can't remember off the top of my head what it was called, but you can access it from the file menu.

Before you do that, the two frames or mouseover images must be on two different layers. Once that is done, proceed to the other program. In there you can specify what you want done to it.

When it comes to mouseover images, you must use 2 image files. I've tried to find a way around it, but haven't had any luck.

So, basically, that's it. I believe that the gif animator program provides the javascript code, but if not, do a google search for: "mouseover script"

The PSP animator is called Animation Shop. And it won't do what you want. The animation starts as soon as the page is loaded. Not with a mouseover.

force_flow2002 is on the right track. You'll need a script that will change the image on the mouseover event and change the image back on the mouseout event.

Actually, BustaRomeo is looking for a method to do a mouse over button, which both PS and PSP can do.

DOH!! You're right.

But what do I know, I usually write the code and scripts that make things happen behind the scenes. Someone else usually does the graphics. You don't want to see MY artwork!!!
