Hello,
I have been working on a friend's Dell 4100. I am thinking I'm done having replaced the mobo, when I go to power down- I tell it to shut down and suddenly it tries to dial up with a juno connection.
I tell it cancel and it tells me the program is busy, do I care to wait? I choose end task now and the system shuts down.
I do a search and remove all references to juno (I know the owner isnt using it) and shut down again.
This time the unit shuts down and wont start up. Its dead.
I unplug the power from the rear and wait 10-15 seconds and replug and it starts back up just fine.
I power down again and the same thing happens.
I can't see a setting in the bios or power management that might cause this.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Edit: OS is WinME
Okay I eliminated the weird juno part, now when I have the system running and do a control-alt-del to see what programs are running, it says"downloading software" as a program.
Is that part of ME, or is it some spyware(this box is not hooked up online and she has every program under the sun loaded-no adaware or spybot though)
We can eliminate spy ware later, I am curious about the ME part?

Thanks

PS edit, Moderator, please delete this post. The problem solved after pulling the Juno and restarting several times... and messing with some strange little start up prgrams.
Thanks
