Help with a MX700 Problem.

Well I like this mouse a lot, but there is one problem that really annoys me. Sometimes if I move the mouse around and then stop in a certain place. the pointer onscreen will vibrate around in a small area. This is really annoying when I am playing a game and trying to line up a shot. Is this normal or is something wrong? Thank you.

What surface are you using it on? I know that mine will act funny on a wood grain surface.

Mine works flawlessly, except on wood grain surfaces as lil Jimmie sez above. But even then, it doesn't have the symptoms you discribe; it just seems to skip some.

Have you tried it on a different system?

I have it on an american flag mousepad. I guess I could try something else.

Good point! Mine has never worked right on any mouse pad... Mine works that best on a regular vanillia mailing envelope!

Do they make a mouse pad for optical mice??? I've never looked for one...

I was under the impression optical wouldnt work on glass and mirrors, but I just had to try it on a small mirror and it actually worked regularly. I think I may try out the mouse using USB to see if that helps my problem.

American flag has red in it. Optical mice hate red surfaces. I use a plain black mouse pad with mine.

I use a dark solid color either blue or black mouse pad..
