I completed my first build yesterday, with a lot of help from a friend. It went pretty good. Had a few small problems but all in all it was a success!

Congrats on the sucessful completion of your first build. Now you'll never have to buy a pre-built computer ever again (well, unless you want a laptop).

Way to go, ni! Now, if you're like me, you'll keep taking it apart to find ways to improve the installation or to add new stuff. Savor the satisfaction of accomplishment. You earned it!!

Yes, I had a DELL. It gave me no problems. I really had no need for a new computer.
I kept reading PCMech and as I gained more insight and knowledge I got the "upgrade" itch. I kept finding more & more proprietary things with Dell that irritated me. The only alternative was to build!
