Just thought about what I was doing 2 years ago. I was here (http://www.pcmech.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=17549&highlight=world+trade+center) like many others.

I never made it here. In fact, I was home working on a project, and didn't know anything was going on until may 1-2 that day.
My heart aches for those victims and their families every time I think about it.

I just got home from work and turned on the news to see what the weather was going to be like that day and saw the first tower burning. Being born and raised in Queens, New York I watched in disbelief. Then I watched the second plane hit the second tower. Then the Pentagon. I was then living in Maryland, and work in the U.S. Capitol. When I heard about a forth plane still unaccounted for, I had no doubt in my mind where it was heading. Thanks to the brave unfortunate people on that flight that plane never made it to it's target. By then my emotions had become a mix of deep sadnesss and intense anger. I for one will never forget that morning.
May God bless all the victims and their families of that cowardly attack on the United States of America.

I'd just pulled through the gate at work and the news said a plane had hit a building in New York. After parking my car I went to the club room to begin work and the boss pulled out the TV as second plane hit. We all knew then that the first was no accident. He told us to go ahead, get our telco trucks and go to work but didn't expect much work from us that day. He was right.

I was on a computer doing some research in the local library when a friend of mine came over with a shoked expression and told me that a plane had hit one of the WTC buildings. I said, "How can that possible? Was it one of those personal single engine planes?"
My friend said, "No, it was a commercial airliner."
So I went over to the TV and saw the smoke pouring forth from the grand building...
The amazing thing about that day was that I had been by those buildings the Sunday before. I never expected them to be no more when I went by them.
