Help!

I was told by several people that I should move my ethernet card to a different spot in an attempt to keep my network connection when I install the video capture drivers for my video card. I moved it and now I cannot connect to the network. I uninstalled and reinstalled it and it still does not work. It says that it is connected but I cannot access any websites or the network. How can I get this to work??! Please help.

Move your card because of what reason? If everything was working fine. Or was it not?

When I install the capture dirvers for my video cards I cannot access the internet or my network even though it says it is connected. Several people including Microsoft have suggested that it may be a conflict with the network card. They suggested that I move the card and see if that conflict is resolved.

Is your vid card an AGP Card? If so, is the network card in the PCI slot below that?

Yes my video card is AGP. No the network card is not in the slot below it. It was in the third slot down and I moved it to the fourth.

Any IRQ or device conflict showing? Did you try reinstalling the drivers, or better yet, check the manufacturers' web sites for updated drivers (for the capture card too)?

There were no IRQ or device conflicts showing and I was still told to move the card. I have reinstalled the drivers and there are not any updated drivers.

Yes, I resolved it by moving the network card back and doing a system resotre. However, I still do not have video capture capability. If I install the video capture drivers I lose my network.
