Hi,
I'm about to network my 2 PC's and share an internet connection but i read somewhere that AOL don't support home networking. I'm running AOL Broadband at the minute and i was wondering if this was true and is there a way around this so i can have both PC's accessing the internet. Do i have to use a different browser on the slave PC or what?

Thanks in advance

:) Mackem :)

Make sure you have an Ethernet-capable modem, get yourself a Linksys router, create a dedicated screen name for the router, set the router up for PPPoE, use screenname@aol.com for username and enter the password, look in the advanced settings for MTU, set it for 1400.

This assumes you are using AOL ADSL. I don't know how to do it with cable.

Thanks glc. It is AOL ADSL. Just a couple of things, forgive the ignorance. what is PPPoE? and what is MTU?

Cheers
