What do I need?

I live next to a major highway and I want cable internet. The problem is Adelphia doesnt want to run their cable over 250 feet. My trailer is 400 feet from the road. If they run it 250 feet is there anything I can use as far as better cable or something to finish running it to my trailer and it still work OK? Thanks in advance.

You'll just need a peice of coax the same size as theirs with a female-female ended coupler to connect into their end. Maybe if the guy is good he will give you the peice of wire and let you string it in and he'll do the connecting....

If you use high quality coax, and the cable company does too, you should be find with a 400 foot run. I have a 300 foot run from the street to my connection at my house, and there's over 100 feet of cable strung through the basement and attic to get the signal to my office, cable modem works fine.
