Does anyone if te Linksys WRT54G wireless router can be connected wirelessly to another wireless router? I have an existing wireless network and need to extend the reach. I am wondering if I can hook up a second router in the other building and that it can see the other network and communicate with it - without pulling wires.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Not normally. The wireless routers are hardwired in Infrastructure mode as a rule. There was a discussion about a way to beat some specific brands into acting like a client, but I never saw any evidence that it's possible. Note that folks like D-Link have wireless repeaters to accomplish what you're talking about, though I don't know how well they actually work.

If this were my problem, I'd pull the wire. I believe that the 802.11g protocol narrows the possibilities. Pull the wire, and make the second router a slave. :)

I know the new Linksys wireless routers can work together but I am running a set up like what you are talking about with the older Linksys routers I had to use the bridge but I have 2 networks in two buildings sharing one connection, with the linksys signal booster on the routers I can get access to either network pretty much all the way around my block :)
