I have a MSI GF3 TI 500 card, and am currently running the 30.82 drivers. I have been to MSI 's site, but cannot make sense out of the info there in the driver downloads. Am i to believe that the newer drivers won't work with this older card? I am a bit behind in this area guy's so any help would be great. I am running Win 98 Se and dx8.

No, it's recommended that you uninstall all of the previous drivers so you don't run into any conflicts if the two happen to interfere with each other.

I think you might find the 3082 one of the better drivers for the gf3 cards. Maybe even the best overall. The 4 series (4109, etc) and beyond are optimised for the gf4ti and newer.
It might also be better to use the dx version the card was made for, in this case dx8, and a driver made for the card specificly. Some thoughts for you.

Well i uninstalled the drivers, and installed the 40.71 drivers. All seems to be good. All my current programs are running and there are no problems.
