XP start and **** down windows

Is there a way to deactivate the Windows log on screen everytime I boot up? I don't have a password but for some reason it is asking me for one. Not a big thing, but annoying. Thanks Using XP SP1 Pro

Go into Control Panel > User Settings and then "Change the way users login and and off" then select the Use the Welcome Screen.
