Can't see the color green.

Boy My colors on the desktop and games are so out of whack. I click on the ATI color tab abd the color green is just black. What's going on?

RED and BLUE are fine. Where do I start to fix it. I checked my connection installed reinstalled drivers but to no avail.

This may help you, because I lost my red once and it turned out to be a pin from the male end of the monitor cable broke off in the female part. Turns out it was the pin that controls the red input to the monitor. There are 3 color pins or leads if U will, and they are Red, green and Blue, so I would say U either have a broken green lead or the green has went out on your monitor. I believe there are 3 guns inside CRT monotors. 1 shoots each of the 3 colors I mentioned, so the green one could have went out on yours. First thing I would want to try is a different monitor.

I agree with ktkendall; try another monitor first to make sure your monitor is the problem. It *could* be something like he mentioned about a pin breaking off or a cold solder joint inside the monitor, but I would say more likely you've lost the green gun on your monitor. I lost the red gun in one of my old monitors. Hehheh, try playing Nascar Racing when that happens! All your gauge needles are RED....you can't tell how fast you're going or nothing! :D Have you unplugged the monitor cable recently? You could have possibly bent one of the pins too. If it is the gun, you'd be further ahead to just get a new monitor, because by the time you buy a new gun and pay labor to have a qualified repairman install it, you're close to the price of a new one.

EDIT: Bout forgot...not saying you don't know anything, BUT if you aren't sure what you're doing in trying to repair a monitor, then don't. Monitor tubes hold alot of charge and you can get one hell of a shock out of 'em if you touch the wrong things. Be careful. :)

I also agree, the same thing happened to myself as well, after plugging in and unplugging the monitor so many times i begen to do it without taking my time, it actually bent the pin not broke it, i just bent it back and it works fine.
