something's wrong with my mouse port

my mouse port is messed up. i didn't do anything to it but yesterday it jtoped working. i can't control my mouse at all. i have a optical mouse and i see the red light at the bottom, but i can't click or move the move pointer. can any1 help me fix it? oh and i tried it with another mouse ad it still don't work

Look in device manager for conflicts. It's not easy, but you should be able to get the device manager with just the keyboard.

If your mouse is USB-capable, remove the adapter and plug it into the USB port.

Does it work in safe mode?
