hi there,

i have a few audio files at different sample rates and also (more annoyingly) at different voice levels, i.e if i play file #1 it might b real loud and if i play file #2 i will have to turn the volume up because its not loud enof.

which decent prg will enable me to convert this volume problem...(i know i can change the sample rates but that wont probably fix the high/low volume issue !?)

any advice?

thanks
:)

are these files on cd or are they already i your computer? if they are on cd, you could get the program dbpoweramp and rip them to your hard drive. one of the options when ripping is volume normalize. that is how i have always done it. there my be a way using the program to volume normalize without ripping from cd. hope that helps

it might, i know you can convert files already on your computer to a diff format, and you can prolly just convert them to the same thing, just make sure you check volume normalize. hope that helps. get all of teh files you want to convert in one folder, select all of the them, and convert them to mp3 to a diff folder. check volume normalize. do a google search for dbpoweramp. it is free. download the file selector as well, it is a nice add-on and free. hope that helps.
