Hi All,

I am having some trouble with my internet connection. After an hour or so online I will loose the use of my internet explorer. I will type in an address and it will work for a minute or so and then display the following in the address bar:

https://www.mail.yahoo.com:19638/webhost/rollout

the portion ":19638/webhost/rollout" is common to any site I try to go to. I think this is a function of Internet Explorer rather than my internet connection. I believe this because other programs such as yahoo messanger or mIRC still function properly. A restart will correct the issue but in time it always returns. Can anyone shed some light in this problem? Thanks

You have spyware or something has made entries in your hosts file - or are using a proxy. Who is your ISP, what type of connection are you using, and what have you installed that has anything to do with IE? I'd lay odds on something from Yahoo.

My ISP is Comcast. Connection is cable. I frequently run SpySweeper to check for adware or spyware. Hasn't come up with anything from yahoo. I was just using www.mail.yahoo.com as an example link. It happens on all links I type in.

try running adaware or spybot. Make sure you run updated versions. It looks like a settings problem to me, but that's just my guess.

Try uninstalling the Comcast software - their browser customizations and the so-called "assistant" can cause problems.
