Quick question on BIOS and mobos

i have my dads office computer
it wont boot. because of some reason and i hear no BIOS beeps. i've checked the cables from the mobo to the speaker and all seems fine. mabye its a faulty BIOS(thats what i think anyway) since PSU,HDD and RAM are working.

so...is it possible or plausible to replace another BIOS from another computer which is different with the current "faulty" one?will this work?

I would think the BIOS chip would have to be from the same exact motherboard in order to ensure compatability. You could go to www.badflash.com and order a new chip. Did the computer just suddenly stop booting or what?

if your getting no beep code at all then the motherboard is probly dead, but you can check further if you want.
