Flush your DNS cache, they are routing through Akamai this weekend due to the Qhosts worm.

What is the DNS cache?

XP caches all DNS requests for faster browsing, so it doesn't have to go out and ask your ISP's DNS for the address every time you want to load a site where you have been before.

To flush, type IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS at a command prompt.

Is there anything like that in 98se?

98SE doesn't cache DNS.
