pcanywhere doesn't connect

I have 2 buildings, a mile apart connected by a network extender box. I can use pcanywhere to go from building 2 to building 1 but I can't go the other way. I have tried everything I could think of or manipulate with no success. Anyone have any ideas?

with PC anywhere, 1 side connects and 1 waits for the connection. I know one is called the host and I havn't used it in a while but I do remember that have to open PCanywhere and configure it to be waiting for a connection so you can connect from the romote side.

Is this dial up or broad band?

If broad band->When building 2 waits for a call, it should display an IP address. The address must be a static ip and not an internal 192. type number..

but I'm on the same network in building 2 as in building 1. I don't think I go outside my cable modem at all
