Trying to get a member of our HOA to connect to our website via outlook so he can't check his email. We set up everything right passwords, ect, no typos and we get this error (Not exact wording):
Can't connect port: 110 (SSL) No socket error 10060 Error 0x800ccc0e

Just a bunch of fancey text saying
"Can't connect to mail.**********.org, Can't connect port: 110 (SSL) No socket error 10060 Error 0x800ccc0e"
Something like that, but i wrote down the important stuff, but he can't send or recieve mail.
This is caused by one of two problems.
1) Your computer hasn't been rebooted in a while. There is a problem with outlook express that causes a socket failure if your computer is low on memory and/or resources. Usually restarting your computer clears this problem up.
2) Your anti-virus software is interfering with receiving mail. This happens especially with Norton Anti-virus. The way the anti-virus software works is to put itself in front of outlook express, which then allows it to filter your mail for viruses before you even get to see them in your inbox. The two ways to fix this are to reboot your computer (that fixes the problem in 99% of the cases), or as a last resort, you can remove the interception of emails by the anti-virus software. Note: this procedure will allow your computer to receive the viruses, but as long as you keep your virus scanner updated, you will not be able to run the attachments.
