This past week, I've installed 2 seperate distros, and for each, after about 2 days when I boot up, the screen is covered in a green hue and is condensed by about 2 inches on each side. Is there a possibility that the linux partitions on my hdd are to blame, or is it something to do with videocard drivers?
thanx

Sounds like the monitor is going. Thats exactly what happened to mine. I replaced it with a friends and it worked fine for days so I bought a new one.
Do you have another OS to boot into to make sure that its not software related?
Otherwise, yeah, sounds like a pooched monitor.

When you installed Linux, did you configure your videocard and monitor correctly? What monitor and videocard do you have? Does this happen when it tries to load the GUI? HTH

Yah, i second that, you may have to run xf86config again, try some different settings and try to find what your hardware settings are...
