I ordered a ATI AIW Radeon 9000 Pro for $135. Now I see on Newegg.com that there is a sale for Leadtek TV Winfast 2000 Deluxe for only $44. What is the differences between these cards?

I was planning to use the card for turning all of my vhs tapes into dvds or svcd's. Also, I'd like to be able to watch and record TV on my pc. I thought it would be cool to play ps2 or xbox on my pc if possible. Will the cheaper Leadtek card allow me to do all these things? If so, what is the catch? Why is it so cheap? I read about the driver problems, but I can just download those, so is there anything else anybody knows? Please, INeedHelp, again.

Here is the address of the specs of each product:

The Leadtek unit is a tuner card only that works in conjunction with your existing video card. The AIW is an all in one solution integrating the graphics card with the tuner.

AIWs are the best and then there are the rest when it comes to a multi-purpose Video Card and it comes with all the interface devices you need for doing what you want to do.

Ok, so I bought them both. It turned out that the cheaper WinFast tuner card worked awesome, especially for the price. I still cannot get the AIW card to work. I uninstalled my old cheap graphics pci card and my leadtek Winfast deluxe 2000 tv tuner. Then I installed the AIW, but for some reason, the wdm driver will not install correctly. Looking at the device manager, under Display Adapters, there are two similar adapters called All-In-Wonder 9000 and All-In-Wonder 9000-Secondary. The All-In-Wonder 9000 has a resource conflict (code 12). Anyways, I've tried about everything that I could find to get the thing to install correctly and I can't get it to work. Looks like I will have to reinstall my old pci graphics card and new cheap Leadtek tv tuner. I'm pretty dissappointed about the AIW card. I wonder how much better it would be if I could get it to work.

I have the Leadtek TV tuner along with my ATI 9600 PRO Graphics card, I must say it is a very good card for 40 dollars. The picture quality is superb and you even get a FM radio built into it. I love it lemme know how you like it. PS: make sure you download teh newest drivers I was having trouble because of the drivers.

The reason for "9000" and "9000 secondary" is the card supports dual monitors, and there are separate settings for each.

The reason for the conflict could be the capture drivers. I dunno if windows will let you have two separate video-for-windows capture drivers installed.

Decide which one you want to use for capture and don't install the drivers for the other one.
